James Steel Productions is a leading production company specialising in Creative Consulting, General Management and the development of new musical theatre.

Whilst James was producing with Kouban Productions, his most notable works was USHERS: The Front of House Musical. James was part of the founding of the Hope Theatre and helped forge the UK’s first theatre with an in house agreement with Equity (Equity Fringe Agreement under the campaign ‘Professionally made, Professionally paid’). The show later went on to run at the Charing Cross Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe and The Arts Theatre, West End. With a background in Sales & Ticketing for the West End the company will deliver on being driven by data, technology, dynamic abilities and affordable ticketing.

James has served as a judge on the Cameron Mackintosh Resident Writer Placement recently for the National Theatre of Scotland Placement.
